The Lock 7 Tour starts from the Lock 3 Museum and goes all the way to the Lock 7 and the Museum and Viewing Complex at Thorold.

On the way, you will learn all about the Welland Canal, its history and engineering.

We will stop 8 to 10 times and take a break at the Twin/Flight Locks where “The Ships Climb The Mountain”.

We will then travel along the Murals of Thorold painted in 2006 by Shawn Reimer . These murals present the rich history of Thorold and include the Battle of Beaverdams, the 4 Welland Canals and the 1900 Bombing.

After taking another break at the Lock 7 Information Centre, we will come back riding along the Canal so you can enjoy your Segway.

• The tour lasts about 2 hours and is bout 9km long return trip.

1. After receiving your certificate, please call the experience provider to book your reservation.
2. Identify that you are booking a LifeExperiences package and quote the number on your certificate. 
3. Be sure to bring the certificate with you. It is your method of payment.

• All participants must be at least 12 years of age
• Minimum weight is 100 lbs and maximum weight is 260 lbs
• Riders must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of handrail
• Riders must wear the helmet that is provided with the tour or provide a similar multi-impact sports helemt (must be CSA approved)
• Riders cannot wear shoes with high heels
• Riders must complete the segway training clinic and test ride
• This activity is not recommended for pregnant women and any person with health restrictions or seizure disdorders.
• Riders are responsible for all damage to equipment and will be required to pay damage fees as assessed by a company manager
• Riders will be required to sign a waiver of liability
